what is the diff between a33 & a55, my wife is new to dslr, should i get her a33 or a55 ?

can sony a33/a55 shoot video with manual focus ?
i read from others sony a33/a55 can only shoot video with AF, is it true ? |

my fren wanted to get an underwater digicam..
should get sony tx-5 or panasonic ft2 ? he wans to use it when going to beach, can take some photo/video underwater, but in most of the case is still taking photo/video on dry land. |

Hi all sifus, my wife and me like to buy a camera which can take good photo and record video, after going thru some research i found 2 options, nex-3k and sony a33, is the camera ok ? As beginners, i would like to start with kit lens, which one should i go to ? Any better suggestion ? budget around RM2k.
