Type of camera/lens/accesories : DSLR+lens
Budget: around 2.5k
Your Location: Pennag
Preferable brand : canon
Type of photography u want to do : potrait, landscape
Any specific models in mind? : thinking of canon 550d and 500d with 18-55mm lens
Any suggestions/

I think 2.5k can only get u a 550D body instead of body + kitlens.

Else, consider D5000 kit by Nikon. Shops around Pg Rd offering good package for RM2450.

Other alternative, fork out additional 400-500 to get 550D + 50mm prime lens.

Which waterproof camera should i buy ?
I'm actually looking for stylish camera where i could bring it out but my bf said that Sony not good.
And he said i only use it to capture underwater and once only, what for buying so expensive.

OLYMPUS STYLUS 1050 SW

or

OLYMPUS Utough-6020

or

SONY TX5

Recommendations needed.
If can , i would like to know the prices of them too.

Thanks in advance

Do consider Panasonic's Lumix FT series or Casio EX-G1. Those are rated better than Oly and Sony.

Lol.. Any idea on the pricing of TX-5?

Managed to try the FT2. 10m underwater is impressive.. but the LCD and image quality is mediocre.

TX-5 with the slider and touchpanel? hmmm.. not really convinced if used in rugged environment..

Sand might get stuck in the slider.. and touchscreen sensitivity degrades when used underwater (not sure if this is true)...

hmmm..if dun slide it up and down i don't think can get in la..sure got some seal..unless you really purposely  go and expose it to sand...

for normal water..i dun think so..for sea water..probably  hmm.gif
water will start to seep in your camera due to higher pressure as you go deeper.......  laugh.gif

Cheaper than i thought.. so this is the best rugged compact out there? If it is then i gotta go Sony centre to test it out.. Hopefully they can let me test it out by immersing the camera into a small fish tank. smile.gif

The last time i saw this was done on the Casio EX-G1.. unfortunately..the pics did not turn out as good as expected.
