Any specific features u want? : good battery life (use li-ion is more preferrable), pic stabilizer,value 4 money..

can sum1 recommend me??i wan to get a camera after i got my scholarship..
demo set or ori set, i won't mind..

This is my 1st time getting a dslr camera. Total beginner. Ive use PnS & i want more control rather than just auto.

so, i've read through everything that i can find in the net..i think i want to increase my budget a bit (like, wait for 1-3 month sambil2 make money), then go for either D5000 @ 500D (depending on what brand my friends want to buy, coz can share lens )
is it a wise choice? or i should just go for 1000D @ D3000 (without waiting)
what's the difference btween 1000D/D3000 & 500D/D5000 beside the HD video recording.i don't think i'm gonna record video using dslr..
