My dinasaur projection tv is giving funny colours. Attempting to do focussing does not help. I guess it must be dying.

I am now looking for a new tv and need advice from sifus. Screen size 42" or more. Full HD LCD. Maybe LED(?) if not too expensive. I have no brand loyalty. My budget is RM4500.

There are so many brands and models in the market and I am lost!! Any assistance from you guys/gals is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ur budget Rm4500 can buy led tv??let me know ok if u can find 1.Sony or sharp is the best...

Sorry. As I said in my posting, I am lost. How much do I need to pay for LED tv? I am prepared to spend more if it is justified.

Yeah, i put my money on Sharp.

sharp now 4300 from our forumer here.. but it's 40" only..

another but, review said the LED does not improve any PQ except for lower power usage..

Thanks for the prompt replies. So Sharp is generally accepted to be THE brand to get. But is there any significant difference in picture quality between LCD and LED? I mean to pay RM6k for a 40" or 42" is I feel a bit stiff. Anyone with knowledge/experience care to comment?

no, dont buy sharp
check out lcd(not led) by samsung series 6(end with 650). for RM4500, u can get 42inch and above. read the rave reviews

erm..y not for sammy 4 series...?with ur budget, can go to 50'..

I'm considering the Sammy LCD 46B650 and LED UA46B6000, which the LED has a rm2k extra. Is it worth the extra rm2k?

What so good about Samsung LCD 6 Series?

just the picture quality!!! you have to see it to believe it...
the black detail, the clarity of the picture, the natural color it reproduces just blows your mind away!!

dont spend on other expensive brand when u can get the same or better at a lower price.

one more thing that i like is series 6 got manual dejudder and blur control.
where u can adjust how u want your picture to appear like, more like fake plasticky feeling or clear like normal.
dont know how to explain it but certain people dont like it

I saw the Samsung 46B650. The picture is amazing like you said. However the price is not. Was quoted RM7.5k!!! with freebies.

ask them to absorb the freebies...

buy any series fm samsung, bt x d 5 series...ds series sucks big time...seriously...

samsung is nice i think.
