Obertan may not be another Ronaldo, ever, but our team doesn't need another Ronaldo. Obertan being the way he is is far more important for us right now. A team player, and effective to boot. Keep playing the way he has been, it won't be long before he takes over from Giggsy.

As for Ronaldo's remarkable goals bringing us to glory, it's true in a way, but it was also because of our rock solid defence, the dependable VDS guarding the goal, the reliable midfield guarding them and becoming a launch pad for the likes of Rooney, Berbatov and Ronaldo to do damage. This season is proof that we're not reliant on Ronaldo and his goals, because we've been banging them in more compared to his last season.

Added on December 11, 2009, 11:11 amWhy not have both? For me, although it feels like Ronaldo is still one of us, but Messi gets my pick if I have to choose between the two. He can score goals, and also creates lots of them. Ronaldo right now is a battering ram, although to be fair, a really good one. He has a great start so far in his career there goals wise, but then the likes of Kanoute, Morientes, Forlan, Ruud etc have all done well over there.. Hasselbaink was once top scorer in that league. It's not a hard league to score in.
