Successor to Vida?

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson set to swoop for Serbian starlet

QUOTE
Manchester United are targeting young Serbian central defender Uros Cosic - seen by his club CSKA Moscow as potentially a bigger talent than Nemanja Vidic.

The 17-year-old may move to Old Trafford next year, despite CSKA’s desire to keep him, admitted club president Yevgeni Giner.

So highly is he rated that the Moscow outfit has enlisted the help of Kremlin president Dmitry Medvedev in a bid to grant him Russian citizenship.

“I must stress that we would like to keep Cosic”, said Giner.

“We even offered him Russian citizenship. It now depends upon the Presdent Medvedev whether it is granted or not.

“I have not seen such a great central defender before, not to mention that he is only 17.

“But Manchester United would also love to have him.

“They have already made several attempts to approach me about him, asking if I was ready to negotiate.

“They can see - the boy is going to grow into a bigger star than Vidic.”

Good win for us tho...but why did PIG suddenly panic to kick the ball? It hit Carrick instead.

Also, I think Wellbeck should have done better with his chance  vmad.gif

as much as all his dribbles fails, he realises it, and choose to pass to Evra instead of crossing it himself.

other than his performances against Wolves in Carling Cup, i can't see much of his performances. As much as I would like to say he lack of experience, he is young, well i dont think that is applicable anymore. He has been given enough chances.

somehow i feel rooney can do better for last nite match, early in the game he got 2 chances wasted, and that chances is like between him and keeper only with no pressure from defenders, i dunno y he shoot to keeper when he came in the middle, with left and right of the goal open wide, but he shot straight doh.gif .....he should done better considering he is currently the striker for england
*
he seems to be off course last night. Typical Rooney kua... When on form, 10 goals in 2 weeks also can. When off form, 20 chances give him, he one also wont convert... When he was about to take the penalty, i was seriously damn nervous because he really like no form.

I think the emergence of Rooney and Ronaldo on early age clearly put a strong perception to every united fans that.... A player must be good enuff even when they are 17 or 18 years old....

i think we need to have patience for these young player....we can't keep on expect to have rooney and ronaldo every season.... they are just an one off.... do give our youngster more times and stop writing off them instead supporting them.... gibson is a good example... before that he was no one else.... look what he has become now....not a truly impact player but is good enough for his age.....

Look around premier league... im sure not much is on par with welbeck/macheda/gibson at their tender age....

Of cz Welbeck is given a heavy expectation. If u are playing for any of the big guns, u gotta be good, right? And no, i dont compare anyone with Ronaldo or Rooney. He would be way off if compared to Rooney.

Do remember Fletcher. He was nowhere near the standard we want/expect and just ask those who keep saying he is SAF's god son/he play because he is Scottish. I am sure most [if not all] will take back their words now.

It took few seasons for Fletcher to become who he is now and reach level we all wanted. Just stopping judging Welbeck like there is no more room for improvements.

U see.... ppl are complaining here coz fergie give more chance to the youngster to perform.... compare to chelsea n liver they have no such problem as they rarely give untested young player to play in big game....

The most important point that i try to drew out here is....even the youngster today did not perform up to the expectation....but they do took out some burden off the senior player.... look at team like chelsea n liver.... they do play near to full team in those micky cup n yet struggling.... just appreciate what we have with the youth player.... is a plus point if they perform well.... smile.gif

Just imagine this.... *touch wood*.... if all our senior team striker is out.... would u partner macheda n welbeck on the attack?

i totally have no problem with looking at youngsters in the team making their debuts in Premier League. They are the future of Manchester United anyway. Everytime i see welbeck, i already agak agak how much he can produce. Thats why i always hope Macheda can make his debut... Netherlessly, Sir Alex Ferguson knows best.
