To everyone else :

Funny most of the time people blame the tunnels for getting hacked. My opinion is that your were already infected.

Packet "sniffing" is a well known online hazard and tool for hacking, and due to that most programs that involve sending sensitive information outside the computer have built in some sort of encryption system to encrypt that data, just the same way your browser uses SSL for some websites. So this means that the data travels encrypted and only WoW login server has the key for it when you use a SSH Tunnel, providing it was setup correctly..

Although, like with everything online, caution is obviously necessary, nobody ( maybe TM and your gaming addiction )force you to use and/or purchase a tunnel service.

My team is constantly keeping an eye out for unusual activities going on the servers ...

Be wary and alert on programs Tunnel service ask you to install. If you do need to get, ie PUTTY or Proxifier or whatnots, get it from the original site.
Like I tell my users, if you download the registry editing putty server configs for the tunnel service, open it up in notepad and take a look before you install .

But one thing to think about, you think i would ruin my name and business over hacking WoW players? Too much work ! I rather sit back, buy new tunnels, have my team administer and i sit back and relax ...

Little grumpy, my LA dedicated HD kaput, so getting the dang thing replaced and they taking their sweet time.
Just ordered a new dedicated server with BIGGER bandwidth in Dallas, waiting for that to setup... So im a bit antsy right now
I will be unveiling something different by christmas, something to " GIVE BACK " to the community ... just WAIT ! All that im saying for now : D
Damn LA server going down was bad timing, delayed everything 2 weeks =(

The New one in Dallas, I own the machines, just renting space at thier datacenter

the one in LA is Leased.. Still not cheap runs me about $400USD a month

Well with owning i have the whole dedicated pipe to myself. I have to have my ppl service the machine myself. My brother lives 2 miles from the datacenter... and his fiance's dad is a partner there.. Gave me offer i couldnt refuse... , now if only my wife believes that...

Leasing is kinda shared 100mbps advertised, you lucky if you get 25-30... and im at the mercy of the company who owns it to fix it... =(

I started all this with the Lease machine .. and was just running the service for LoTh raiders ..
Since I started playing Rappelz, many ppl ex SEA players asked to use it.. then word got around and it grew and grew.

I nvr thought i would have so many servers for tunneling...
With this new rig and setup.. now might head into the VPN service lol

Makes better money and less headaches than a webhost company !


But to be honest, this is still more like a hobby than business . Why i say that, not really profiting besides owning more servers. I take the subscribers money, pay for the servers, extra goes into new servers since my promise from the begining was NVR overload. So far all my servers is alloted to about 40% capacity. so everyone is at least guaranteed 1.5mb line and then some. Once a use is assigned to that server... the space wont be alloted to someone else, use it or not. I hate lag, and i'll be damned to pay for a tunnel and lag lol.

I guess i am running this more as a gamer / hobbiest rather than a business owner...

My wife thinks im nuts .. but oh well
