QUOTE(jcmf @ Dec 14 2009, 01:16 PM)
i have a quick Question
im planning to get a d90,

if i already have a 18-55mm(D60 kit lens), should i get wth kit or get another lens? what should i get besides the infamous 50mm f1.8?

planning to use for multi purpose shooting inc scene, gatherings and stuffs..

Added on December 14, 2009, 1:18 pmps. with the rm900 budget for replacing the kit. trying not to blow my budget
*
see what you want lo
if you need a zoom lens, kit lens do pretty well
if you are not into zoom but into prime
then get 50mm smile.gif

Sorry people. Do remove me from the user list. I'm no longer a Nikon D90 user. Sold it off already. But will continue to support as it's a great camera.

QUOTE(AlphaBeta @ Jan 27 2010, 03:19 PM)
no..this aint true. Juz like ur kit lens 18105(if u have)..it is damn slow in focusing although it has SWM motor. Whereas when i use my 50mm f1.8 without motor...it still focuses faster than my 18105. This is because the d90 built-in motor focuses quite fast.. if you use d3s..no doubt it will be much faster than d90 because of better built-in motor.

the purple fringing only noticeable if u pixelpeep..if normal..u wont see de.. nod.gif

shocking.gif
ohh, i didint know that!
so lens without motor can focus faster than lens with motor laa
does this apply to all lens? or 50mm only?

Price about 1 x AF-S 50mm tongue.gif

dx user and i find 50mm useful for portraits tongue.gif

can i trust dpreview's mtf charts? seems that 50mm 1.8D is sharper than 50mm 1.4G from f/4 and larger @_@
*
oh really??
like that i can save my money since i got 1.8 de
