I'm currently contemplating on buying my 1st dslr, and have my sights set on the d90..i have read excellent reviews of it..however, there were some complaints of the F** error, something relating to the lens mount..but i have not really read it in this forum yet..so i was wondering whether it was just a batch problem...so any users facing this problem?..thanks a lot in advance..

Hmm..i'm not really sure also becoz i have never own a dslr...but from what i understand it seems that the contact between the lens and the body is not too good..they have to dismount the lens and reattached it or just turn off the camera then the problem goes away..i will quote one of the posters on the dppreview forum if that's ok

"once in a while I get an error message in the box in the upper right where the f stop is F- -.The manual states the problem is no lens attached,non cpu lens attached. I am using the Nikon 18-105 lens that came with the camera. This has occured when I am in the auto mode and when the shutter is pressed it will not work. I have to turn the camera off and back on then every thing works well"

and there were quite a few replies to this post that expressed the same problems..so i was wondering if any users here faced this before..thanks again..

Thank you very much celciuz..but if u don't mind me asking, how often does this problem happens? is it so very often that it becomes annoying? wat did u do to overcome it? did you sent the lens back for repair or get a replacement?
