But of course!!! One SB-900 fire from left, one SB-900 fire from right, one SB-800 snooted and fired between the butt cheeks of the conductor to get halo effect on his pants. Ha ha ha ... but seriously ... no flash lah. Just very slow shutter speed and pray lorr.

All credit must go to graffiti artist. I only stand there less than one minit and snap-snap. With regard to model shoot, no money to hire model and flash pole machai. So shoot rocks and trees lorr.

That was my first camera too. Your fathers camera looks like new. Very well kept. No fungus in the lens?

Olympus makes some very quirky camera. The OM-10 has a manual adaptor. A gadget with headphone jack that you stick on the camera. With this thing, you can control the shutter speed. The pro version (OM-2, OM-4) has the shutter speed adjustment at the lens mount. Very different from most other cameras which tend to have shutter speed dials. Actually the shutter speed on the lens mount is easier to adjust provided that aperture ring is at the front of the lens.

The mechanical feel of the Zuiko lens, wow! I don't think any of my Nikkors are even close. But my lens now is like fungus plantation. Dun know if worth it to send for cleaning.

I don't think the mounting of the lens is attached to the plastic shell of the D90. Inside the D90 is a metal endoskeleton (ala Terminator T2). I'm sure the lens mounts is attached to this steel frame. The plastic shell is only the housing. Every critical component like sensor is bolted to the steel frame. So don't worry too much if you attach the 70-200.

Pics below is the lowly D40. I'm sure the D90 have similar construction. See how the sensor is attached to the endoskeleton (metal frame). See the design of the tripod socket, it is part of the metal frame. The metal frame is probably 2mm thick. Even though the camera is plastic, none of the critical components are attached to plastic. Plastic is brittle and will crack. Metal is ductile and will give and bounce back (elastic) within limits.

Don't confuse the magnesium alloy clamshell with the metal frame. The magnesium alloy clamshell (in D300 and pro models) replaces the plastic housing. Definitely with the magnesium clamshell the camera is stronger, but the D90 is not as plastic breakable as you think.
