Hi all, need help here.

My iPhone 2G with FW3.1 unable to boot up after essential updates via cydia after it prompted to reboot iPhone.

Shows apple logo and went dead after around 10 sec. Restart it lotsa time still to no avail.

Open up itunes holding home button then it prompted "iTunes could not contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the Internet." My internet connection are well connected. rclxub.gif

iTunes unable to detect my iPhone when it connected to pc.

boot the phone in DFU mode and restore again.

I once did an upgrade on Cydia and experience the same thing before on my 3GS

I managed to solve the iTunes not connected to internet problem by clicking "automatic detect setting" in internet connection tab.

But izzit safe to update essential updates from cydia again after i restore my iPhone? Will the same prob occur again? rclxub.gif

Does "restore" erase all my cydia installed apps?

thanks
