all i can say.. i learnt a lot about paint..!

i'm about to embark on a painting project for my house..

it's a 2 and half storey.. and i need to touch up the paint on exterior and also a bit on the interior..

If we cannot get the exact match of what colour the original paint contractor use to paint the house.. , how can we guess?

I don't want to to re-paint the whole house.. just touch up here and there..

but all the white part.. definitely.. i will touch up..! maybe use maxilite..

feature wall - maybe use Jotun Strax - Olive colour.

question :

1. do we need to wash the surface that we want to repaint?

2. Can anybody share any website or blog on nice colour scheme?

I'm looking for inspiration colour.. and sample completed project that people might do to their house..!

2010 is about to come., we don't wanna stuck with 2008/2009 colour..

so.. i'm looking for inspiration..

got 1 interior designer.., want to charge me quite a bomb for colour sheme coordination services. decide not to use lah..! better put the money for other usage..!

I never paint house before.. so i'm a bit worried that my end result.. will end up botchy here and there..

trdcelica.. what is the purpose of sealer?

when to use it.. and under what condition warrants the use of sealer?

every now and then.. we come to the issue of selecting nice colour scheme.. whether for our new home or existing home.. that we want to give some refresh..

Question : we is the best place we can read / ask/ get help on paint colour scheme ?

are there any service that provide good colour scheme advice?

I've been to some of my friends house.., where they re-paint the house or certain area with the colour of their choice.. , problem is.. the colour combination looks awkward.. and out of the place..

so I think, while we talk about paint.. paint.., it also good to touch a bit on colour combination or colour scheme advice.. Noobs like me have been hunting around bookshop.. go to show-house.. , hotel.. (pullman got nice colour scheme - exterior and interior) just to get an idea of nice colour scheme.

3M painters blue tape.

Yesterday I go to Ace Hardware to look for painter tape.. I saw at youtube and books, they're using 3M blue painter tape.

but.. when i found 1.., my eyes couldn't believe the price..!




wah so expensive?

small one cost RM33.00.. and a little bit bigger set you back at RM55.00 and up to 88.00 ringgit.

why laa so expensive?

can I substitute it with normal masking tape?

or is there any special with this blue tape?
