Read all the post but yet to find a good place to buy paint from. What is your recommendation. Which shop is honest with price. I'm looking at Nippon and ICI...will try the Momento too...since its so unique. But dare not try all wall, but maybe the feature wall... smile.gif

what is the different between matex ceiling white and brilliant white. both come with similar color code 145.
*
the difference is the color. matex ceiling white is like a little of yellowish. not obvious yellowish. brilliant white is pure white.

Not the same. Difference is the quality of the paint. Color not 100 percent same. But roughly 90 percent n above.

Any idea how much does it cost to paint the double storey house internal and external with skim coat? A contractor quote me rm 8500 using ici maxi lite and pentalite.
*
workmanship i m not too sure about it. i suggest u not to use maxilite as your undercoat aka sealer. tell them u want a better sealer. pentalite is alright 1st grade quality paint.

whats the recommended series within nippon  for interior and exterior ?

and what are the prices ?
*
what is your budget? if u want cheap, good and popular. i recommend for interior vinilex easy wash and satin glo. exterior weatherbond.

for nippon depends on color. there is no fix price for it. interior should be less than rm100 and exterior will be more than rm100.

where do u live?

*
exterior 5 years. their best nothing special. if u choose dulux ici got keep cool formula. your house wont be that hot in the afternoon.
interior lasting got no warranty. best is washable. thats all bro.

Can i check, is it necessary to remove existing exterior paint via high pressure spray before can paint new layer?

I plan to repaint but i see many houses starts with water spray removal of existing paint and its very messy, i mean all the paint flakes flying around everywhere.

at same time i also notice the water spray only able to remove like 10% of the existing paint..

So is it really necessary?
*
it is not necessary to remove the existing paint. u will need this procedure if your current wall is powdery, fungus, bubble patches, etc etc. if your current wall is nice these procedure does not required. u can choose to do it. no harm actually but u have to bare the labor cost. always always always remember after using water spray removal use a good undercoat also known as sealer. reason is next time u dont have to go through these procedure again.
