QUOTE(jason1986 @ Nov 1 2010, 01:55 AM) Hi guys, my rented house now look like shit. Thinking of repaint it as i will be moving in for own stay. Can i use Matex white colour to paint the whole house first and then use Jotun Strax to paint on the colours? Matex is the cheap one. RM60+ for big tong, 18 liters i think. Why paint Matex, then paint Jotun Strax? You should only use either one. Apply 2 coats will do. Word of advice. Make sure that the existing surface is not powdery. Else it will be a waste of your paint, even if you use Jotun Strax

QUOTE(johnjenin @ Feb 10 2012, 12:26 PM) yes its look like watermark. The weird thing is, behind this wall is my living hall which is inside my house and not expose to rain. There is no aircond piping inside as well. Could it be because i did not apply undercoat? another image for better understanding Is this wall on your ground floor? This water mark could be due to the rising damp from the ground. This occurred from the rising of moisture from below thru the brick wall. This due to the absence of the damp-proof course (common in our construction industry due to lack of supervision)
