Try using a water power jet spray to remove the paint. If not possible, then ...

Paint few coats of maxilite. Buy the big tub, 18 litres. Wait for each coat to dry b4 the next coat. Once you are satisfied, then paint the milky white series.

I wont recommend using sealer as it will be expensive. And is oil based, so the drying process will be slow after each coat ... overnite.

finally, im so gald to got somebody answering me, over the moon now~
its a subsale house, it already occupied with some former owner furniture inside( i means sofa already in the living room, guess water jet is habis no choice liao)
will consider sealer as first choice, we got 3 months time for it to dry blush.gif

afraid layering of maxlite will come off if too many layers, i think maxlite need at least 4 layers bha to finally cover the pink, not mention that i got another intense purple wall in the room cry.gif cry.gif

I've a medium light coloured room. At first I use sealer, 2 coats cannot cover, in the end use maxilite in another room, 1 coat already fully covered, like magic. After that I use another better paint layer on top.
*
omg, now im in between sealer and maxlite, i tot expensive one would offer better function confused.gif confused.gif
what is the better paint layer you mentioned? may i 38 a bit

For that colour, 1 coat of sealer is not enough. Also need at leat 2 to 3 coats.

Sealer is expensive but if you have the budget and time, go ahead.
*
listen to your suggestion, i choose the cheaper version to modify (tight on budget if need more sealer coating)

I use dulux easy clean (or any along this line as long not cat kapur, can ask shop to recommend too) after maxilite.

Maxilite texture is thicker, sealer/easy clean is very thin. Both paint feels different also when u run your hands on the wall, maxilite have a very smooth paper feel, sealer/easy clean have a rougher surface.

If house is for rent then I think maxilite would suffice.
*
its not for rental, we gonna stck with it for a couples of ten years wink.gif will consider it , thanks for info yo! dulu my parents cat own rumah i never survey the paint, now i know nothing, haha innocent.gif

If more than 20 years old the paint may fail upon rolling on new paint.
Then u need to resort to sanding off the old paint.
*
the wall paint seem new, i guess it painted not more than 6 years bha,
havent buy the sand paper yet, just busy buang all unwanted barang first, just make preparation to make sure after reno can straight paint liao~
the walls are like this, uneven surface, felt firm when touching the wall , no paint or debris came out, the flamingo red paint is so strong blush.gif

Generally, people dont do it if another paint colour can cover it.

Sanding is not only dusty, more work and costly but if dont do another skim coat, then possible to see fine lines after painting if sanding is poorly done.
*
im not lazy but selective to participate , so this means i can do new paint w/o sanding off, wahhhh, the best thing i heard today brows.gif
so so so tight on budget, now this is the less costly option la

If your current window frame is wood, I suggest you change to aluminium.

Unless you intend sell soon, then use sealant.
*
agree! aluminium window frame cost at first but save penny later and save you lot of work

Maxilite is a cheaper form of  'primer'.
*
and i back from the hardware store with nippon emulsion matex 82RM, (maxlite 84RM), i asked the price for maxlite but end up with tauke suggested nippon's regardless price,

i red a few post in this forum suggested stronger and durable paint can be painted on the exterior part of the house like jotun shield (jotashield) series, can anyone suggest interior paint regardless price
and color since the color tone quite similar and no big different in the price . (dulux /jotun/nippon)

these 3 brands so popular and no other brands come in my mind, even it do so , im not certain about its durability , l cant find mr paint in my area, but i saw seamaster brand, just not sure whether it is a good choice or not?

i prefer a "matt" finishing look drool.gif drool.gif

Interior and exterior wall paints can be used for any wall. Just matter of how long it last and where it is painted.

Weather shield or weather bond paints are formulated to withstand harsh weather condition and so is normally used for external wall.

Those with limited budget will also used maxilite for external wall. My neighbour is one of them.
*
oh my budget~ but your neighbor's condition now how ah? peeling-off occur?
today after work gonna start paint 1 side of the living room, will show the after-progress picture here

here is my after-work progress, took us about an hour and a half to paint a layer of matex emulsion onto it, not sure it counted as a layer or a layer and a half, coz my bf keep rolling another layer to avoid naked-eyes color differences, today gonna apply another thin layer.

so tired climb up and down the ladder to fill the gap between ceiling and the wall...

according to the instruction of matex usage, i straightly wash the brushes and the roll after used, it is correct , isnt it?
