Paint, buy where?

I will be moving into new house. Before paint the interior wall with my prefered colour of choice, what I need to do first?
Do I need to paint for 2 layer (white & my colour)? or I can straight paint the wall with my coulour of choices. |

Not sure whether this has been shared... I found a quite useful software to visualize our colour selection for our home... not sure whether the colour code can be used since it's from nippon paint SG website
