wonder that all audio / video files received, how to delete it? is it deleting that person chat history will clear the audio / video file sent by them as well?

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Jan 3 2013, 10:53 PM) Finally got an answer to my question. Been googling the whole night!! Anyway, confirm right your statement? Whatsapp won't 'scan' the new sim and force us to change no? Confirmed, went to Singapore and Taiwan recently, using the sim over there, when you launch Whatsapp, you choose not to change to new number.

QUOTE(ChillyPepper @ Jul 18 2013, 11:46 AM) I've retained my history of chatting since my first iPhone, the 3GS, until now, iPhone 5. Now my messages have accumulated to over 400mb lol. I use a iPhone file management software called iExplorer on my Mac (you can use iFun-Box if you're a Windows user), navigate to WhatsApp and copy these two folders: Documents LibraryBackup these two folders to somewhere on your computer. Update, move to a new phone or whatever you want to do with WhatsApp. After installing a new version or a fresh installation, overwrite the two folders on your phone from what you have backed up. Here are the links to the software that I use: http://www.i-funbox.com/ (Windows and Mac) http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ (Mac) There used to be a time when the only way to access the file system was to SSH. But these apps are way easier. good guide when i replace my iPhone4 with iPhone5, i have no choice to restore completely my data from iPhone4 to 5 in order to retain the chat history between, since backup to iCloud the whatsapp data, why we need to manually go to whatsapp and use the new feature backup to iCloud? i am confuse because we need to turn on Documents and Data, previously if iCloud does backup whatsapp, it backup the history as well (is it not the same now?) QUOTE(svchia78 @ Jul 3 2020, 07:38 PM) I recently returned to iOS after 1 year on Android. The last time I used WhatsApp on iOS was under iOS 12. I noticed that the WhatsApp backup to iCloud is no longer as smooth and fast. Previously, the backup seemed to only upload newer stuffs that came in after the last backup. Lets say I previously backed-up 1.33GB to iCloud last week. And this week many new things were saved in WhatsApp increasing its size to 1.35GB. It would be fast and easy for WhatsApp to just upload/ backup the 0.02GB. But now, it seems like the whole 1.35GB will be uploaded from zero and takes ages to complete. And I also noticed that the backup process will sometimes stuck at a certain % with no progress at all. Anyone else having this problem? nope, still smooth, mine also around 1GB++ backup sometime I tried delete and reupload again still smooth
