And he's not using WhatsApp on his BB. Is that possible? Because I tried to text my other friend using BB through WhatsApp, but failed. Thanks. |

QUOTE(saisha8858 @ Oct 22 2010, 12:14 AM) personally i tink whatsapp is better coz ur ID is ur fone number n ur number is auto added. ping meanwhile needs u to add a unique ID to chat. too much trouble. whatsapp is now sumore on all platforms. wider penetration. |

1. ur fren kena charge coz he doesnt have a data plan. as u kno, data is expensive in msia if calculated as 1kb - 1 sen (or sumthin like dat).
2. 1gb is more than enuf. my whatsapp takes bout 1mb after sendin/receiving bout 600sms. and dat includes some pictures aswell. 3. whatsapp just sends text mostly, so data usage is very very minimal. few kb's nee per msg. |

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Oct 28 2010, 09:05 AM) bear in mind that if u enabled ur Data without having a proper data plan, it would cost you a bomb no matter what... There're many other apps which 'eats' ur data as well.. facebook, opening games (they log in ur game centre/open feint) and many more.... yep, i got mine for free. last year. dat time ping was popular. lesson: never enable ur cellular data network without a data plan..... 99 cents = rm3, can't even buy me a bag of keropok in UK... Note that BB users have to pay 1.99USD per year for the service, for iPhone it's just a one-off payment of 99cent... We should be grateful lol... Anyways it used to be free for 2 times previously.. First was when it first released and 2nd time during the time I started this topic... |

obviously usin data witout a data plan will get ur throat slit. ur fren must have used a couple MB's worth of data. any app dat uses data will reward u with a hefty bill. i suggest ur fren stop usin whatsapp unless he in a wifi zone.

QUOTE(heartbox @ Nov 9 2010, 09:21 AM) Hi everyone, I'm new to this apps and hav ONI few friends got whatapps so pls add me @ 0165472706.um Simon errr..its better u ask ur frens who has a bb or iphone to install d app. den u can sms dem for free rather than adding unknown ppl. as u can see, this app is similar to SMS function on ur fone.but i have to say this app is superb and its popularity is fast catchin up among BB/iphone users in Msia. QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Nov 11 2010, 11:41 AM) i got it free oso wen it came out and was not dat popular.QUOTE(vin_ann @ Nov 11 2010, 12:06 PM) er... Kik is ok but its almost like Ping which requires a nickname. whatsapp i feel is much more convenient coz it auto adds d users number into d app witout searchin. n its associated with a universal fone number.im not sure whether im on right topic o not... now there's a new platform which is free... called KIK messenger.. no need phone number to add.. just your nickname... p/s there is an update available This post has been edited by deepan84: Nov 13 2010, 04:37 PM |
