Hi experts, got a question here about deleting Whatsapp messages.

I have about 3 to 4 years of chat history and this is making the app very laggy. Would like to know if it's possible to delete the messages which are more than certain time, e.g. more than 1 year old?

Searched with Google on this but can't seems to find the answer.
