If I use a data-only sim card in the iPhone, then verify my Whatsapp using the phone number of my another phone, it will still work right?

Would be perfect if we can call over 3G using Whatsapp. Any app that can text and call online, that builds the contact list according to our contact's phone number would be king.

Sadly such apps would never go through the appstore just like the google phone last time...

Maybe you are right. The next best thing is Vonage, which take the list from Facebook. But then, Apple approved a native Google Voice app recently.

Guys, got somethin to ask. How can I get my whatsap to stay connected. When press the home button, it will dissapear and i thought it is still running. Then when I launch it back, it say "connecting". Same goes to my YM. How laaa?

If I'm not mistaken it doesn't really matter. Even if the app is closed, if someone message you and you're connected to 3G or Wifi, you will still receive a push notification.

I think Skype began to charge for VOIP calls since September? Initially it wasn't allowed until Apple removed the VOIP restrictions..

But they don't charge for Skype to Skype calls right?

base on what so that i can add my friend who are using whatapps on ipod ?

Based on your contact's phone numbers. You will see them in your Whatsapp contact list provided you have them in your phone's contacts AND they registered their Whatsapp with that number.

But iPod touch doesn't have phone number attached also wor..

It doesn't matter. As long as the phone the number is attached with is able to receive text messages, it will work. After all, all Whatsapp is asking for is just the 3 digit code verification they text to you.

Try out Tango in the App Store, it's free version. Can video call over 3G/Wifi just like facetime.

Seems great, but it won't support iPhone 3G (my only other friend using iPhone)? I installed and have 0 contacts. Do Fring or Nimbuzz support push notification for calls even when app is closed?
