I just installed the watsapp to my Nokia E63. It this application do any charges? I noob on this and this is my first time to using such application. Just sent out a msg from Watsapp but i didnt hook to any wireless access point but still the msg can go thru. As what i know, i didnt subscribe any internet line from Maxis. I wonder if this could happen caused last week i downloaded a auto exec software from Maxis to auto setup my phone for the MMS setting but it set up the Maxis Internet setting also. I'm wondering is my phone is auto set to apply any of the internet line from Maxis and give me a charge on that? Please help. TQ

whatsapp uses data, either Edge, 3G or wifi. since u said u didnt subscribe to any data plan with maxis, i think u will still be charged on the data used.

Hi EP4Man, then it supposed to use my 3g with charges then.... hmm will it be cheaper than normal SMS? I can't connect to my house wifi also and the option is just too little..hmm think my phone sucks..

u need to ask that to maxis. i have no idea how they charge data usage on a non-data plan number. my friend did this once, and he got whacked by a large bill for using data on his non-data maxis number.

they charged data on non data bills way too expensive.. people are forced to change plan if they are using smartphones.. at least it let us all the features included rite.. lol

If you're not on wifi, then you'll be charged as pay per use, which is more expensive than normal SMS (after checking out the data use in whatsapp after sending message to my friend)

If you are not under any data package plan, I suggest that you stop using whatsapp. My friend got huge bill amount. Careful.

u can't be using so much of data with texts unless u are sending a lil too many media files.

my fren using nokia 5800 and he end up delete the apps because he received msg even though the apps was close.. and he is using prepaid.. drained his credit like nobody business.. hhehe.. so be careful

Ya got problem wit it, after since I update to latest version it always auto quit when I wanna reply msg

Recently also always disconnected. I can receive message from other people.
But when I open mine, the status is always "Not Connected"
... and I keep receiving messages asking why I no reply.

Even stop/terminate/kill/close the app using the X and also RemoveBG, and also Restart + respring also doesn't help
