im using fix ip.. not really mess up with ip matter.. hope my speed can be cap to 5mbps today..

to all sifu, i jz got my 4mb, capped at 4096, so getting around 3300kbps in speedtest. I learnt that some of forumers are able to upgrade the cap to 5096 or higher by emailing TM. The thing is if we aredi get 80% of the subscribe speed (3.3mb for 4mb make me ineligible), how do we ask for that favor? Any of you here who had make it kind enough to guide me on how to ask for this upgrade? Thanks alot................

General tips

1. Wait for 1 week , do wait for a while - dont torrent , just dont misuse it

2. e-mal to them , say you are not kinda happy with the speeds , you just want at least 90% , say you are using VOIP , other critical applications. Post your SNR Margin , speed test etc

3. Wait , once upgraded then wait again for a while to get your 218.xx.xx.xxx ip address ;p

I have been told by their agents that the 5120 kbps caps are only temporary, for "testing" purposes and will be returned to 4096 kbps in the future.

erm, i'm also facing almost the similar problem, the port had been capped into 8m, they changed the modem from aztech ones to the blue riger ones, but the speed it's still 1.5mbps, should i also have to wait as well? by the way, it's my 8th day .

"agents" , well if you can convinced some one in the higher authoriity to do it , it will be 5120kbps. Its simple as that. they put me in 4096kbps , I was pissed cause i was getting 2.8mbps , it did not even reach 3mbps. So after talking to some folks , well its 5120Kbps. I dont think they are going to download cause I've said to them. I dont abuse your connection 24/7 by downloading large files , or torrenting 24/7 ;P


Then call em , get it capped to 4096kbps at least first. Post your Modem DSL Status

I have been using 5120kbps for a long time

Being optimizing it for 12 hours a day n sometimes 24/7. Now problem is my hardisk every month have to buy another 1TB

Quite happy with 115 ip range will not go to premium ip as i can't go this fast even though my modem is set to 5120kbps

Done a traceroute manage to see that 218.111. and 218.208 are using different routing which is firewalled

Compare to 115.XXX routing is different

However my another acc with so known premium IP can also get 124.xxx ip which routing almost similar to 115.XXX routing

sounds like u have a line or account problem - time to keep calling 100 ...

Well, actually this agent was someone from the advanced troubleshooting team. Anyway, I have already complained to the MCMC, let's see how it goes.

actually my line at first was capped at 4096kbps, but after keep getting 2mbps, they raised to 8mbps, but still the same, now changed the modem to riger from aztech, yet still the same,

calling 100 is not same as 1300 88 9515?

Eternity, i believe ur account is not yet activated. I faced the same problem 2 days back. Login to ur TM self care account and check on account information to verify they had upgraded ur account. If u are capped at 8000k port then the culprit shod be ur account. Email them and they will call u on the next day.

this is my dsl param, i also have same instinct with you, i did called to the cs 2 times as well as the contractor in charged once, they said my line already is 4mb, by the way how do we login into self care account? because there were once i checked it the status stated that my upgrade had already cancelled, i thought of giving hope, but poof the contractor showed up after 1 month, and i got checked the status few days ago by simply clicking links, and the status is also the same, which e-mail should i e-mail to them?

i think it is definately ur account, not modem. Riger will work fine. Try this link https://tmbill.tm.net.my/ for login, then view account details to confirm your package is 4mb. That was what happened to me, and that was wat i did to solve it.

I personally feel the technician dnt sync well with TM point, they don have idea of wat each side is doing........ jz email to TM customer care if u discovered ur package is not yet upgraded

I have been arguing with TM careline and ATS department regarding this for more than a month..still cannot raise my SNR to more than 15db..

They keep saying that the minimum SNR is 13db...since my line never dc, so I just let it be..complaint to MCMC already..

reseller said we should have 3.6mbps on speedtest.. below is under 80%

how do i check the SNR margin in linksys modem router. i cant seems to find them in the admin panel

I got capped at 4mpbs after i relocate my streamyx to different location.. house moving. this is juz bad . Initially i'm geting 5~6 mbps speed

urs upload speed so slow

Im getting frequent disconnection last two days with this new 4MB package, test with speednet, can reach more than 4MB but I think its inaccurate..
kept getting IP 115 and 124.. havent got 218 yet.
is 218 the stable IP for 4MB line?

CAn i ask something? if i upgrade the line to 4mbps will it improve gaming experience like smoother or better ping?
