Hmm, but what if they said "Your SNR Margin / Line Attenuation" is not good enough for 4 MBPS?

My area and place is supported for 4 MBPS, but my distance to exchange server = 2.6KM; my SNR Margin = 36 (now dropped to 26), and Line Attenuation = 38 (which is quite high).

So; I'm worried they will say "Oh sir, ur SNR / Line Attenuation is no good, we will downgrade your package now"... then die.. will that possibly happen? Or both of you also have similar SNR / Attenuation value? Mind sharing? Thanks..

now on the way apply my 2nd 4mb line, my area r kampung area out of kuching 30-40km also can get 4mb, hope will get my 2nd 4mb...hahaha

if the tmpoint cant accept your apply for the 4mb, pls try apply from the streamyx agent. "money can make ghost run for u " according chinese, streamyx agent got comission will do them work, some streamyx agent can call streamyx to upgrade the port to max 5mb, but most r cap at 4mb and the streamyx using the user name to control the speed, not only the line, if the user name lock at 2mb even u got 4/5mb line also no use.

The Rm 140 packages only goes with Blockbuster packages not combo

Called my technician again to request higher cap, he rejected my request and saying "it's impossible for 4MBPS user to have 5mbps cap. 5mbps cap is for HSBB (Unifi) package and must have FIBRE OPTICS line instead of COPPER line...

Calling 100 now and they are filing a report for me.

Update: TM Customer Service gave me the contractor number (which is the one I contacted), ask me to ask him to re-cap for me.

Once again I called him, he told me "4mb user cannot 5mb cap laaa sir"

I asked him to refer to the report and do it for me.

Thats like saying I bought 1TB hard disk , why when I format I am only getting 955GB or even less. Same concept applies (well not same , but similar)
This applies to just about any ISP in this world , its just that some ISPs use clever tricks such as raising the cap or capping at a higher speed so that the user gets the full speed.
