The ten finalists for this year’s award have been announced…
France Football magazine has revealed the shortlist of the ten nominees who will vie for the 2009 Ballon d’Or award.

Funny how there's no Goalkeeper on the list.
Seems like this year all the goalkeeper sucks. D:
Anyway, Messi gets my vote. I just feel like all the other players does not really impact much (except Xavi I guess)

Personally i dont rate much this European award.....they failed to Award Thierry Henry for all his achievement during arsenal days..
eventou im an arsenal supporter....i do accept the fact that Ryan Giggs deserved all the awards for his commitment 2wards his club and of coz his on fields performance.....
How about Paolo Maldini? 5 champs league titles..still not enuf 2 impress the jury?

Messiah!!!!! Even thou i like Ronaldo....but last year was a Messi year....
Erm... i think series of injury prevented him to be nominated....if i were to take out one player to replace torres it will definitely be Zlatan....
he do cock in all competition except Series A...and big game too...
