IP addresses can be faked. And BTW, it's 10:26pm in Kathmandu, 1:41am in Seoul, and 4:42am in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. I also know how to adjust date/time in Windows.

We use EFTPOS. You pay anything in shop using EFTPOS including a one dollar stuff. I never take public transportation, so don't ask about bus ticket. For more than one year, I have been "Penniless", all i use is a simple EFTPOS card. ONLY SOMEONE WHO HAVE BEEN IN NZ for long could tell you this, dude.

You'd be surprised if there are a number of people who have been overseas (predominantly English speaking countries) for a number of years, but still come home with sub par literacy skill in English.

Nonetheless, I do not see TheWinner's inadequacy in the English language. You can understand him and he you. Best not to nitpick on grammatical errors especially in forums, since it serves no real purpose.

Back to topic, from what I see, it looks like you - TheWinner - are mature enough to handle things. After all these years with her, it's just best if you follow your heart than to think things logically. Good luck!

n00bi3 has proven himself worthy in this forum already, just because he is a "junior" member doesn't mean anything. He is far more credible than you, and based on the way you write, he has way more intelligence than you do.

Second, your English is poor. Don't bother trying to justify it by saying you talk Manglish casually and only proper English formally, language isn't so easily separated. From the way you write, its obvious that English isn't your first language and that you're not very good at it. Its not THAT bad, and just because you have a Ph.D and probably write a lot of reports and stuff, doesn't mean your English level is any good.

I've read many poorly written English text from professors and such, its not a problem really, as long as you can understand what they're trying to say.

As an engineer, I work around with maths and designs, not language!

Speaking of language, Chinese is becoming the "First" language in most renowned engineering research lab. As an example, 5 out of 7 PhD students at an engineering lab in Cambridge University are Chinese:

Just because you are in UK or NZ does not mean you have a good command of English! I hear more Chinese than English in lab. Malaysian, Singaporean, Taiwanese, Chinese, people from Hong Kong... all speak mandarin or cantonese, and we did have fun playing mahjong during weekend!
