Mind to enlighten me on that?
As far as I know, plasma tv used to have shorter life span compare to LCD but recently I've notice they have came on par with the LCD in terms of life span.
LCD panels might last forever, but the backlight of typical LCD which uses CCFL will kaput earlier .. plasma panels don just die.. they degrade in brightness.. their lifespan usually measured at half brightness..As far as I know, plasma tv used to have shorter life span compare to LCD but recently I've notice they have came on par with the LCD in terms of life span.
as for white LED LCD panels, well they should also degrade in brightness rather than just die.. but the usable lifespan (brightnesS) should be shorter than CCFL.. depending on the cooling conditions of the LED (junction temperature of LED) and load currents/yellow phosphor stability....
