Want to ask, what is the plant that i use in the ground and do i plant it correctly? And also what is the purple leaves plant in the back? Thanks

Hi guys. Just want to share my current setup. Im planning to setup a amazon basin tank and i got some amazon fish too. Do i really need Blackwater extract to complete my setup? From what i know, blackwater extract can change the water to abit brownish color. Does this affect my plant photosynthesis process??

So this is my amazon tank setup . Its look like my glosso is doing well thanks to michanz for helping me id that plant so i can search the care sheets

Already riki NA yesterday. They got 3 pot of riccia for sale but in poor condition so, just buy 4 otto only

Added on January 3, 2010, 2:29 amMy otto done really good job in cleaning brown algae on my glosso leaves . Now i know why some of my friends said otto is a aquascaper best friend hehehe.

But today after i came back from work, one of my ottos is badly injured beaten by something. After carefully observing my tank for about 15min, now i know the otto is beaten by my female apisto....now shes beating the otto to death . Im wondering why is she become so aggressive ?? I watch her every move for the next 15 min or so. When i move closely to the tank to inspect, she would flare her gills at me through the tank glass. Within a short time, making me quite happy, she actually doing what a good mother will do...protecting her eggs . What a great day . RIP my dear otto ..

Yup its glosso. My moss is brown all the time its look like its coated with dust . But after running with 2 filter, the dust problem is decreasing . I got one empty gex genoah nano tank and want to setup a shrimp tank. Isit 27 Deg is acceptable for CRS and RCS? Poisoned already

Foxngn: Grow quite fast..Yes. But not clean any algae...Not agree with that. For me, this fish is superb algae cleaner if u look at how they polish my glosso and not to forget docile too

Actually otto is my 1st choice but looking for otto is kinda hard that time so i buy that fish for emergency . Now its getting bigger and not suitable for my tiny aquarium...
Foxngn i use algae wafers to cool down that noty fish

Ok just want to share my new layout

I put Shirui sand for some bright impression and also as a feeding ground but it turnout to be a playing ground for my CPO and shrimp



My plant for this layout is HC, Glosso, Staurogyne sp, Echinodorus quadricostatus, riccia, Nymphoides aquatica, Nymphaea lotus and unknown plant behind the big rock

Bro thats y im not dare to use CO2 not meant for aquarium... . BTW aquatic paradise have plenty of otto 2moro gonna grab some
