fish needs oxygen
plants needs co2

air pump for me i dont really need it.. my plants will produce enuff oxygen + the filter inflow splashes in a little oxygen..
co2 is to me more important for a planted tank.

for all i know plants which doesnt really need injected co2 would be java moss/ java fern and other cheapo ugly plants which has no aquascaping value..

for a planted tank u also need soil, for a 2footer i believe u have, a big rm88 bag of ADA soil.

if ur planning for just java moss and java fern u wont even need soil alltugether.. get all in one liquid ferts which cost rm20++ per bottle.

and for co2 introduction u can us Seachem EXCEL for rm50++ for a big bottle which is in liquid form about a capful a day for good results on ur moss and ferns.

either u just want a planted tank, which is just plants in a tank.
or u want a planted tank, which looks good, has an aquascape which is pleasing to the eye.
if u have the cash, ul get the latter result.

what keep the plants growing would be fertilizers basically.

ohko the most common punya rock in lfs lah! and i think the cheapest lolx

less than 10bucks a kilo I THINK... u see my tank there.. the rock each alreasy 2 - 3 kilo

i went to NA years back.. back then Lava rock was really in, ask the kakak how much she say rm10/kg
and lava rocks as big as ur head also weigh less than 200- 300 gram..
so me n my friend bought like 4 - 5 kilos of it..

the next week we came to get more, the boss came and told us that day the kakak say salah! not rm10/kg but rm10 per rock! hhaha we enjoice

that was years ago haha

so glad to see my one and only SAE vigurously tugging and chewing off the BBA on the woods!
definitely gona get more SAE
