You should stick on NTSC-J for Malaysian use.

This console is NTSC-U/C which makes you can only play no region protection or NTSC-U/C's game.

In Malaysia & Singapore, only NTSC-J & Open region game is available.

However you might get NTSC-U/C game with a little bit more in websites like Play-Asia.

But is there a difference in the power/voltage of this different console's region?

Like i read somewhere U/C cannot play with our power outlet being different then theirs. Is the U/C compatible to play in our country? I'll try to buy region free games biggrin.gif

US consoles (ntsc/uc) runs in 110/120V, whereas asian consoles is running on 220/240V

plugging the us console directly into M'sia power outlet will destroy your us power brick, or worst your console.

you need to either buy a step-down power converter or change the power brick to the 220/240v version.

b4 you decided on the purchase, check if the games you wanted to play is it region free and available, else you will be stuck with a console with limited games to play with

MW2 360 Elite are hard to get in NTSC-J

Can i play a NTSC-U/C console here if i change the power brick to a NTSC-J power brick?

Or buy a transformer like in Play-Asia. Which method is cheaper?

why all the problem? must you have MW2 360 Elite? you must have 250gb HDD?

you cannot use NTSC-J power brick on a NTSC-U/C console, the power input it needs are different?

have you think of how are you going to buy NTSC-U/C games?
