Seems like everyone is avoiding the CKD like the plague. Don't be so discourage la. Kia won't let Naza spoil its top product. You will see soon enough.

Ya, i guess those of you with doubts on the CKD car can just have to look at 308. It is still good.

& alliance bank...my family buy car before always rely on sales agent to deal with loan..SA give me 3.5% for 9 year...want to apply myself but can someone give me a guide???what should i have & bring...i want to go for naza now...want to book..
*
3.5% is really high as it is the market rate. It's simple really, now you know what kind of rate banks are willing to offer 3.1% for 9 years. Bring your I/C, driver's license, booking receipt and your pay slip for last 3 months. If they are unwilling to match the 3.1%, then walk out smile.gif

You know, with you guys forming a Forte group, you guys can actually be the voice of Kia users in Malaysia. You can write a e-mail to Kia global and give them the heads up on the quality of service you expect from their local partner Naza. Tell then don't play-play smile.gif

I asked the SA about the warranty extension with additional RM700. He said this is only available through AM Bank car loan. Anyone can clarify further ?

QUOTE(Spawnster @ Nov 30 2009, 07:10 PM)
how do u guys feel about the aircon? 1st time test drive as driver was ok. quite cool. but when i sat as passenger 2nd time around it was very hot at the back. of course it was very hot weather and car was parked outside in the hot sun. even after test drive finish still the back wasn't cool enough even though air con was max.

our sg bros managed to solve this problem by insulating the aircon piping like this... http://sgkiaclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?a...4&page=1#265020

seems this helps a lot. possible to diy?

I only tested on driver's seat. Temp set to 21 degrees and it was icy cold. Dunno how back passenger feel cause went to test alone.

trying to work out some reasoning whether alarm is a must.

If there is a break in, can't start / hotwire car without FOB. Car is protected.

That leaves the threat of lockpick and window smashing. Can safety film protect from window smashing ? They are quite tough right? They would need a heavy tool like big hammer to bash the whole frame in ?

So that leaves lockpick.

Had a real embarrassing incident today. The front number plate fell off when i drove away with my baby. Then I called me SA and they replaced it immediately. The front plate is held on by few double sided tape. Is it the same for the rest? Julz ?

Yeah the plate holder is screwed to the bumper. But the Naza plate number is glued to the plate holder. The sales manager says it takes a day for the glue to harden. Dunno if that is BS or for real.

QUOTE(bomberman @ Dec 12 2009, 12:43 PM)
hi guys, since our beloved forte are so hot right now....

i'm start worry of:

- our car will become target of those car thieve as a popular car tends to be thieve target for spare parts market and this will increase our car resell value (oh~ yeah~~ rclxm9.gif )
Don't worry, we are still miles behind T&H and local makes. May take years to catch up in terms of popularity

- due to 'competitive' price of our forte: 1.6 @ RM 75k ~ 82K / 2.0 @ RM94K~, i believe this car will be those Ah Beng target as this price range car always
the first choice of Ah beng
Still H & T will always be cooler with the wow factor and will always be favourite. Forte by its original self oozes sophistication and class. If they wanna mod to the max then its their own choice.

- our beloved Forte will become 'cheap ass' due to those aftermarket cheapo design that used by Ah beng which seriously bring down our forte status...
any comment on this?? all Forte Fellows?? sad.gif
We have a freedom of choice and can't stop ppl from choosing. Just be comfortable with your own path. Classy or flashy ? smile.gif

Someone already posted the break in guidelines. It is also in the Forte manual. I can't remember all the specifics but here are some of them:

1. Do not rev till the read line. This is no problem because you guys sure sakit hati if you do that.

2. Do not keep the car idle for more than 10 minutes.

3. Rev your engine at varying rpm. Don't maintain the same rpm for too long.
