I am wondering is security tint really required ?
*
QUOTE(titarium @ Dec 11 2009, 11:07 AM)
for security tint I am afraid that my Smart TAG & GPS wouldn't work , especially 3M & VKool , then I have to join the gang that open window for smart tag ---  doh.gif

So any expert out there can tell us which tint best for insulation , security & enable smart tag detection ?
*
bro titarium~
security tint wont effect the smart tag and gps because their infrared rejection is not high..
unless u choose those infrared reject very high those type will effect it...

i also agreed with julz.. security tint for forte is a must... since they will be very hard to start our engine..
they only can break the window glass lo.. and if with security tint... will feel more safe...

QUOTE(cylee911 @ Dec 11 2009, 11:31 AM)
The Kia Forte has picked up a Car of the Year gong in the US, in this case from NADAguides, a US-based vehicle information website. The vehicle was chosen ahead of eight other vehicles for the title, which was presented at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The Forte was also the website's Car of The Month in Aug.

Closer to home, the Forte, which was launched by Naza Kia in Nov, has been receiving a positive response from Malaysian consumers. More than 600 orders have been taken for both the 1.6l variants, the entry level EX and higher spec SX, as well as the 2.0l SX, as of this week.

It's easy to see why the car's doing well - there's a fair bit of car and kit for the money. The EX features dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), 15-inch wheels, active headrests, electronic chromic mirrors and a radio/CD player with USB iPod connectivity, all for RM75,800.

Of course, and additional six grand bags you the SX, which has more on the items list. There's an electronic stability control package which comprises electronic brake-force distribution, cornering brake control, brake assist system and traction control system in addition to ABS, and the variant comes with 17-inch alloys, a six-CD changer with iPod connectivity, an iPod cable, UV cut glass, push start ignition, smart key system and full auto air-conditioning system.
More than 600unit booking so far.....
*
are you one of the 600??
that's why we all so exciting about this forte...
600.. no wonder new booking need to wait till 90 - 120 days..

HONDA CITY exterior outlook like TRANSformer... maybe transformer fans loves it very much. (No offense to City owners..)

Forte is the most worth buying car at the moment. truly. nod.gif

QUOTE(iluvena @ Dec 11 2009, 02:33 PM)
i have the full service package for our forte.. unfortunately i don't have scanner to upload in here..

for the first 3 service, labor charge and 5% gov tax is FOC

Mineral
1K km @ 1 month = rm85.69
5k km @ 3 months = rm85.69
10k km @ 6 months = rm89.82

Fully Synthetic
1k km @ 1 month = rm227.69
10k km @ 6 months = rm227.69
20k km @ 12 months = rm287.28

after that the standard service labor charge is rm70, major service labor charge is about rm150

major service charges is vary from rm4xx ~ rm8xx for fully synthetic
major service charges is vary from rm2xx ~ rm6xx for mineral

all services inclusive of body wash & interior vacuum and naza service check point (what is this? if you know please highlight me)

Added on December 11, 2009, 2:38 pmand the most interesting part is the SA told me that latest honda city also use mineral for their service.. no wonder honda fanboy claim honda service is cheapest among all..
*
thanks for sharing...
seems mineral is cheaper.. even go there twice.. unless labour charge apply lo..
but will stick for fully synthetic.. heard got better FC too!
body wash and interior vacum.. standard lo..
naza service check point means just normal checking for car to find any problem with it or not..
e.g. change of tyre... batt water level, this level that level...

Added on December 11, 2009, 2:48 pmbut to be frank.. RM228 for fully syn is expensive...
outside selling cheaper than that...
last time i change mine RM120...
better brand also below RM200..

*
singapore has 2.0 on the rear...
why we don't have it here...
but is ok.. when ppl look at the "speed" and "auto cruise" they knew it is 2.0.
be low profile... mate.

hi guys, since our beloved forte are so hot right now....

i'm start worry of:

- our car will become target of those car thieve as a popular car tends to be thieve target for spare parts market and this will increase our car resell value (oh~ yeah~~ rclxm9.gif )

- due to 'competitive' price of our forte: 1.6 @ RM 75k ~ 82K / 2.0 @ RM94K~, i believe this car will be those Ah Beng target as this price range car always
the first choice of Ah beng
- our beloved Forte will become 'cheap ass' due to those aftermarket cheapo design that used by Ah beng which seriously bring down our forte status...
any comment on this?? all Forte Fellows?? sad.gif
*
erm.. if ah beng like this car too...
no choice... we can't control the ah beng...
ah beng also mod vios and city.
as long as u don't mod like them... u r not ah beng...
LOL~

there will be allocations of cbu's throughout the country, and if you book now, they can assign one, if the branch/dealer still have their cbu quota.........and i have been assigned one........

Hi all,

Please add me to the list of (potential) owners - Thanks bro Titarium!. I've booked a 1.6 SX Clear White model today. smile.gif
I hesitated to pre-book the Forte because I wanted to test drive the car first and I finally managed to do that today.

Pros: Everything it is and more. You pay less for more.
Cons: Perceived brand name (Kia/Naza). Perceived resale value. I hope this marks a new era for Kia/Naza. Please don't disappoint.

adding auto folding site mirror will void the warranty.. (this is real WTF)
