Thanks for the info. Bro Hitman66 just tipped me off just now as well ;P

Anyway, I just paid for the HD668B. Hope to do head-to-head comparison when this arrives along with my Sennheiser HD650 end of this year. Stay tuned for impressions and hopefully reviews wink.gif

Wow... superflux vs HD650, can't wait for your reviews.

Price per performance is seriously high, provided that you have really good source and amp in your setup.

Well the problem is that HD668B is heavily depended on the source itself.I remember last time I plugged it into onboard yeah I can't stand listen to it for more then a minute or two. However with good source you'll be impressed on what this headphone can do to you.

Emm the hp is too honest, garbage in garbage out. But other hp will they makes bad source into nice music?? hmm.gif

but i dun think he wants that coz bass will get lesser oomph after burn in.
*
But I guess after burn in, the bass will be clearer and extension will be lower, even though its not as loud as before.
I want clarity rather than high volume in bass when listening to music. Unless people prefer strong bass in gaming or movie.
Monitor headphone should be as neutral as possible, adding unnecessary bass just spoil the music.

Just found out that Rockgrotto forummers found that HD681 & CMoy are a good pairing.

@Jazzy,
How come you found it to be the opposite impression?
*
If cmoy can pair hd681 nicely, I bet fiio E5 is something comparable to cMoy as well. For sure those headamp boost the bass signal and many other freq range which is not able to pickup when it is not amped. And it become less bright. All my "cheapo" headphone is like that.

I think cmoy is better than E5. I've tried HD681 on E5 before but the improvement is very subtle.

IMO E5 only suitable for iem.

Good thanks for proving my hypothesis wrong, now I remember cMoy use 9V battery, should pump much more power than E5.
I bet we have to invest some beefy amp to drive this monster. Any suggestion what amp to drive other than cMoy?
