Hi all
I'm having some disputes with my current contractor, in terms of keep delaying renovation works, quality of works not up to par, keep ignoring the defects that I've pointed to him. Our case has brought up to Consumer Tribunal but we're advised to engage an expert to do the valuation on works done by the contractor. The valuation will serve as a basis for me to claim back $ from the contractor ($ paid). Need you guys help to recommend QS to me, really fed up with this guy and don't want waste time anymore.
Thanks.
Have you paid up the full amount yet? If you haven't, you are entitled to retain 5% - 10% of the total contract sum. This is to make sure they will repair all the defects works until you are satisfy ( of course to a reasonable state ). If you have paid all the money, then I think it will be hard to get back the money but not impossible of course.
The QS you search only does calculation for you or you want him to go to your house and valuate the work done?
