I m looking at the double terrace hse at puchong.
An agent offer me 260k, 4 years old (totally new house), 20x 60, 3+1 br, not sure which phase of the putra prima. Is it worth to buy?
If i buy this new house (no lighting, no gate/grills, never renovate...), hw much should i spare before i moving in? Planning to renovate for the kitchen (like install d kitchen cabinet, changing flr tile).
If i really decide 1 2 buy, wat is the next step should i do?

at least 100k renovation could easily take 70k-80k, 20k - 30k for some furniture and appliances. and maybe 10-20k in pocket for legal fees and unpredictable such as repair/maintenance

QUOTE(yenn0208 @ Nov 24 2009, 09:26 PM) Wow... so much!!! still wondering wether 1 2 buy o not.... Can do it stages by stages la... no need 1 shot buy everything.. can slowly add in when you have extra budget... Separate them into like mini projects... no point squeezing the pocket if really cant affort them.. But the 1st thing before moving in is to check whether u like the tiles or not... bcos its something very messy if u decide to change later on... QUOTE(yenn0208 @ Nov 24 2009, 09:54 PM) so, no matter what just buy 1st??? Calculate your budget.. List down things that you hav to do straight away for new house and wat other things you can live without now and upgrade later.. Things have to do straight away eg: re-wiring if you find the power point are not enough.. Grills and gate for security reason.. Tiles (if you dun like the original one).. If the budget is ok with you.. can go ahead lo...

Make sure you have enough of cashflow for the renovation work as changing the tiles of the entire house and some simple renovation work can cost up to 50k.
Stamp duty, legal fee would cost about 5-6k.
