Dear P1,
Need your advise. Currently, I facing some slowness in surfing the net. Last 5 days ago until now, I need to shift my modem in order to get min 2/10 to 3/10 signal bar strength. Otherwise I cannot surf at all.
Today, I managed to get hold of signal 4/10 but not consistent, keep on changing from 2/10 to 4/10 every second. Like I'm at the border of the coverage line.
For the speed, I unable to load a simple facebook page. Keep on saying page not found and i keep refreshing numerous time in order to get into page. I found out, from 7pm++ until 10+pm, I face some slowness... but when surf in the morning like 7am++, the speed is very fast. Is it the station congested again? Please advise.
As for surfing part, I get intermittent speed. Like suddenly fast in loading one page, then hang for long until page not found. Later fast again. Is on and off situation. I just tested, if I download a file (any file) and keep it running, I dont have any problem in surfing. I guess the microwave is broken and unable to receive the complete packet.
Please advise as I unable to surf much for last 5 days ago. I'm using another broadband now. Thanks!
Btw, may I know whether these will be fix in the future? If no, then I have to look for alternative broadband for it. Can't effort to keep on trying.

Dear P1,
I think you have mistaken then. I already subscribe to P1 WiMAX last 2.5 months ago. Although my place is not under coverage area but at the border (within 200 metre away), still I'm able to get the signal but it degrading. I checked the coverage area provided in P1 website, apparently, the coverage area is going away further compare to last time. Perhap these cause the problem.
Since then, I'm not able to surf well due to slowness of the net.

Dear Lowyat_P1WIMAX,
Good morning.
Thanks for your help all these while.
However, I do encounter some problem lately as I have highlighted on the forum but no respond from your side. I getting red light signal and hardly get the yellow light anymore as I tried to re-position the modem few times a day.
Since then, the browsing speed is inconsistent and sometimes fast and sometimes, nothing and need to wait for long time to open a page.
Here the few things I found,
1. Getting red signal most of the time, especially at night. 2. Browsing during day time is alright, but at night, couldn't surf much as I was force to use another broadband to surf. 3. Another thing is, when I tried to download a file, the speed is alright and able to surf. But when finished download, the speed is crawling again. I found out that surfing time are the best when you download file. Therefore I couldn't afford to keep on searching and downloading a file. 4. Have to reboot multiple times in order to surf.
Please advise. My account is 102080702.
I planning to terminate the P1 due to service availability as it frequent having slow connection and unable to surf. Please advise on it since I'm only 2 months++ on the RM99 - 24 months contract.
Thanks!

That's why I asking on earlier posting - whether the FUP reset on 1st of the month or follow billing date?
2 different customer service told me different thing.
I guess that it will be reset on 14th of the month.

Dear P1_WiMAX,
Good day. Received your call yesterday and was told that you will be calling back. I've been waiting for it.
Anyway, when I wake up today morning, I received few sms (miss call) stated you have called me around 8:30pm onward for few times. Hmmm, I didn't get any incoming call at all. Apologised for it.
So far, the connection almost the same. Getting low signal bar as I can get max 3/10 bar, compare to last time, 5 or 6/10. For browsing speed, the speed is alright after you did something yesterday, but when test the ping, lost many packet, at least 1/3 ping and above. therefore couldn't have a peaceful surfing as the connection is on and off.
Hope you will do something about it. Thanks!

if you read carefully on all other broadband adv, they always claimed they are the fastest. maxis said they are fastest. celcom said they are fastest. digi said they are fastest. P1 said they are fastest. streamyx said they are fastest so conclusion? nobody except overseas broadband.

Dear P1,
The technicians (2 of them) already came to my house last Friday (4 Dec 2009 3:00pm).
After spending for almost 1 hour in solving my lagging problem, the technician also couldn't browse or surf using their demo unit even though they check that my modem is alright. They said is the signaling due to my area which is ard 200metre from the border coverage area. They can't do much about it. The technician will submit the report on that day, saying the customer service agent who handling my case, will be calling me. I'm still waiting for the call.
Therefore, in these area, I have no choice but to terminate the P1 services due to coverage area. The problem getting worst after the firmware upgrade last 2 months ago.
Please call me to arrange for the termination, I have signed up for RM99, 2 years contract and only use for around 3 months.
Please let's me know the procedure so that I will return the modem to P1 Padlock at PJ HQ asap.
Couldn't afford to have slow (or worst, none surfing) speed.
Thanks.
