hey guys 

so here's my story instead of question. I'm an existin P1 customer, signd up when I was a student at KTAR KL. Long story short, I'm not in KL for almost a year now ( malacca now ), still payin the bill due to the contract.

so P1 is tryin to promote their 4G add-on package to their exisiting customer, they calld me a few times and I just tell them that I'm not in coverage. Recently another guy calld, told him the same thing that I was in MLK but this time the guy says that there r base stations in MLK and askd for my location. Told him my area and he confirmed that there is a base station for my area. I believe him after double confirmed ( cus I can also see P1 4g banners around my area, I also askd is the coverage map @ P1.com not updated and he said yes  ) and took the add-on package.

waitd for quite a while and I received the modem, tried and it just won't connect, 1st thing I suspect is that I'm not in coverage. calld tat guy again to triple confirm, he confirmed again tat the base station exist but this time with a lil more info, tat is the base station is not activated and told me to wait for another week or just terminate this add-on package.

I'm not sayin whos at fault here but I wonder if he realy wouldn't know tat the base station is not active in the 1st place or just tryin to mislead me. yeah I can cancel it off but ill hv to go all the way to KL cus the local resellers here r prty sad, they dun even hv a demo set, let alone handlin account termination.

been 2 weeks now everytime I askd for estimated date of activation they will just reply with duno or very soon. know P1 is expandin but how long I'm still hv to wait ? 3 months ? 

err P1 is playing tricks or this is just a one-off??

woo hoo finally got upgraded!

i hope that i can use other service beside p1.... but i am force to..... the flat that i am staying now does not have any telephone line so force to use p1. at the 1st and 2nd day woooho actually damn satisfied 2.2mb on 1st day and 4.1mb on the 2nd day the 3rd day drop to 1.5mb and 4th to the 6th day(today) only getting 300kbps - 800kbps. When back to P1 HQ and the customer service ppl told me my area is the 2nd highest congested area lol  he did even ask me to cancel the service since i am still in the cooling period.      for the person who serve me. Come on if i have other choice i would not have been using P1 but i am now force to pay RM139 for a fake 4.8mbps that is actually running only 300 - 800kbps and that is what i can do to keep me online. Another reason why i dont use Digi,Maxis & Celcom is because i have multiple pc at home and only P1 has the Wifi Modem with the highest Quota if i am not mistaken  Well P1 if u do have a heart please do something but not just blood sucking my hard earn money....

P1,please follow up my case IMMEDIATELY! My report no. C370978.I was told that someone from P1 will contact me since 8 Jan,but none of you contact me and solve my problem.Your line in my area is poor,apply home pro package,but just got 200~300kbps,sometimes dont even load P1 website.Are you expecting me to pay you RM139 for that speed?

well... usually for new subscriber, they will lower cap the old subscriber to channel the bandwidth to new subscriber... so just when u r fixed with the contract, u become the old subscriber... so when there is any new subscriber within ur coverage, they will lower cap u...

After that when u try to complain, they notify you its a best effort basis service...
Its either u stick with the contract or penalty for terminating the contract...

Tried getting 4.8 mbps before ? how much do they cap after quota ?

dont simply fume please... it is said P1 depends on your location.

Mine always stable at 0.7 to 1mbps for RM99 package. Might continue using even after contract ends end of next year.

would rather avoid poor customer service from TM

P1 Wimax

Just got P1 4.8 Mbps package a few hours ago. Was told by the sales guy that the line will be activated within 2 hours and I'd get an SMS confirming this. After 3 hours still no SMS, and turned on the modem anyway.

Placed it near window, light kept blinking forever. Put it near my PC (same place as old broadband modem) then got Good signal.

Did I get 4.8 Mbps? Hell no. Consistently got 100-200 kbps ONLY. Even at 2.45 a.m now. Even celcom broadband got 2.0++ Mbps!! If speed doesn't improve will return everything on Monday.

I live in Bandar Baru Bangi.

you know that 700kbps download speed = your connection speed almost 6.5Mbps??? but you subscribe for 4.8mbps only..
you should know that.
i think they have misled you becoz it is actually 50Kbps-100kbps after capped..
i do not seen any wrong with your package.
he should be happy becoz, 4.8mbps = 480kbps download speed..
