ok, here we go again with the P1 , and today
AFTERNOON the p1 down to red light again about 1 am until now. now it's already 8 p.m. night. how we suppose to discuss again about this? Last Thursday and yesterday morning also happened like this and i called p1, they said they going to fix it, downed approximately 4 hour. and today they downed again for whole day? my Location is Kedah, Alor Setar. i am facing a very fed up problem with p1 wimax. Here is the story, we all know that our usage limits will be reset every months right? and for my case, i have been told by the CS that my usage will b reset on every 28th of the month. So here comes the problem, i check on 28th and the usage is rest to 20 gb free, but after 3 days i check again.. it becomes 0gb free.. WHICH MEANS I HAVE BEEN USING 20GB IN 3 DAYS with RM99 packages. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT this happened for me which i dont download torrent and stuff... i m just using for browsing and emails. And also my computer will shut down during midnight means that it wont have any internet been using and also i am not using any router so which means my internet wont be hacked by anyone else.. So, pros out there verify for me that how can this happened ? THanks

Guys, I'm having trouble with my P1 WiFi Modem.
I believe the WiFi dongle doesn't work, because all of my laptops (3) are not able to detect the wireless network. Wired connection still works. How should I proceed with my problem? Been calling the helpdesk but cannot get through. |

Area : Jalan Alam Jaya 12, Taman Alam Jaya, Cheras Few days ago my wimax modem keep getting red lights. then i was told there was some sort of maintenance and upgrades or sumthing. Hopefully it will somehow make wimax better. But it didnt, now i've been getting yellow lights instead of the usual green light. Surfing the internet is damn slow. Even simple task like opening Gmail and Facebook is slow. I had to revert back gmail to basic html in order to even have any chance to read my email. And for the first time ever i couldnt even complete a single speedtest at speedtest.net!!! WTF? I thought maintenance and upgrades suppose to make the service better not make it worst. |

i want to terminate my account. the reason is i have moved house from within coverage to out of coverage area.
i do not want to pay the rm999 penalty. i do not want to pay the monthly fee that was given to me when i was out of coverage area. i moved on jan 2010. packet 1 sdn bhd bill me for Jan 2010, Feb 2010. Mac 2010 not yet. Hopefully not. Please assist quickly. I want to terminate. FYI, when I was within coverage area, the P1 Wimax service fail to give what it says. In every week, i could only get good internet line on the 1st to 2nd or 3rd day only. The days after that the line slows to a crawl. FYI, I have still a lot of GB left. Our Sincerest Apologies – P1 W1MAX Service Interruption on March 6, 2010 Dear Sir, In the month of March, P1 has embarked upon a massive network upgrading exercise that will deliver better performance and connectivity to our rapidly increasing subscriber base. This exercise was planned over 3 months in advance with almost all eventualities and scenarios being taken into consideration to minimise any inconvenience to you. Unfortunately, around midnight on 6 March, 2010 our technical team encountered technical difficulties during the network upgrade exercise that resulted in service being interrupted to high density areas of the P1 W1MAX network. Despite our careful planning and risk management, it is very unfortunate that what triggered the service interruption was something that is almost impossible to predict. Immediately, upon the detection of this interruption, we deployed our rapid response technical team to restore service within our target time of 2 – 4 hours. However, due to the severity of the technical issue, service restoration took much longer than expected. As a result, you were unable to get connected to the Internet. Subsequently, service was fully restored at around 0700hrs on 7 March, 2010. To our subscribers, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that we have caused due to this service interruption. With immediate effect, we will waive any service charges during the period when the P1 W1MAX service was interrupted. In this case we will waive one day of service charges. WiMAX is a very new technology and the P1 W1MAX is a relatively new network but you can be rest assured that we have amongst the best minds and talents in the world working on our network and other aspects of the business. To ensure our network architecture and services are the best that we can provide to you, we will continuously deploy the latest network hardware and software to ensure that we are able to deliver the 4G technology promise consistently and affordably. The service interruption has given our technical team some very valuable data to allow us to take extra precautions and reduce the risk of service interruptions if not eliminate it altogether. We appreciate your understanding and patience and once again, we truly deeply regret the inconvenience that we have caused. My account no. 101325165. I want to terminate my P1 wimax and get back my refund for the advance payment made. Reasons : - NO internet connection since 11 November 2009. - Numerous report lodged via telephone, email, visited HQ etc. but problem still not resolved (even till NOW). Please refer to my posting or complaint lodged previous. Status : - Payment already paid up to date (as at 11 November 2009). - Account suspended as at to date. If it's really slow & you hv lodged multiple reports why not just terminate? They will waive the penalty if confirmed the area really having weak signal or no signal at all

WIMAX is super slow in Penang too. This last Monday, P1 sent me a free Wiggy device under their Loyalty plan.
I am connected via the Wiggy @ 20% - 60% signal strength. According to the coverage map (Jalan Larut, 10050, Penang) is fully covered. Have signal, Have IP, BUT I can't even browse to their website - http://prepaid.p1.com.my to create my online Prepaid Self Care account! I went online for assitance, and this is the service?
