Anyway, I hatched out 0.0.2 normals and 0.0.1 hypo last time (excluding the dead one). Now left with 0.0.1 normal and 0.0.1 hypo left. Can view to appreciate. They will be a more expensive than the males but way more cheaper than a confirmed female. Let me know if you want ok. Thanks.

Finally, it took a dead hypo male + 64 days + husbandry alteration + expensive diet + etc and on Feb 14, 2010 i.e. the exact date for a double celebration of Valentine and Chinese New Year (Tiger), TGS made its last history (pertaining to Nephrurus sp. batch on 2009 - mind you!) by hatching out this:

Nephrurus amyae

Tengah cuba bro. So far, out of 5 species I am currently working with, two are the hardest to successfully breed. First is Nephrurus amyae due to their tendency to be very sensitive + low tolerance to husbandry mistakes (if they don't like you, then they will just drop dead LOL!) and second is the Hemitheconyx caudicinctus due to ...xyz... (I do not wish to jinx my efforts because I am still waiting for my first aft eggs to hatch).

The rest are all easy. I think even my grandmother can breed them successfully...LMAO!

It feels good to be active again.

Fact: Unlike the other two Nephrurus sp. in my collection, Nephrurus amyae shed skin within less than 4 hours after hatching. Such information is absent in the Internet, mass media or even literatures.

Ok that was corny LOL! From my observation, most of the time leos would possess darker color "jari-jari" kaki is due to the process of opaque cycle. After shed, their colors would get back to normal. Leos tend to dull in color when they are about to shed or die. I am sure there are more reasons and many here can contribute to the discussion.
