Just woke up. Finding something to eat. The bloody hotel is in such a kampung setting, the only modern store here is.....wait for it.......a 7-11! Damn the Company and its cheapskateness!

I guess different people have different thresholds. As for being comfortable, it is easy to be comfortable. I can set up a lazy boy chair next to my porch, while diggers and construction machines rip apart my lawn, hey, if the people ripping apart my lawn gives me what supposedly look like "good compensation" (making you feel comfortable), some people will allow their lawns to be raped upon.

But where do you draw the line? How much would you allow these "rapist" rape your rights and privileges before you feel that it is no longer right? Some have lower or even no tolerances to all these bullshit, others let it be as long as they get their nasi lemak/prawn mee/roti canai every morning, and Astro Ria/Wah Lai toi/Vaanavil to watch everyday while their rights and privileges are stripped one by one.

I uproot myself away from all these silliness. And I'm thankful that I'm enjoying my own favourite things in life (Denny's amazing breakfast platters and HBO HD, not nasi lemak and Astro Ria ) and still have my rights and privileges intact. At least if they are not firmly intact, there is some degree of accountability to it, unlike the Malaysian political scene.

Remember my post about "silliness"? This is one of them, gnsumas. Malaysians are not mature enough to be tolerant or open about things that are unorthodox or different from what they perceive as "normal". All those talk about being tolerant, 1Malaysia, or harmony are just bawls and cawks to me.

What's the point in living anyways. Everyone loves a good pointing finger session "Hey i'm not wrong, you are. I'm right" yadiyadiyada.

Still pretty sad to hear that. Politics in Malaysia is so F'ed up. Talking about the use of "Allah in RC literatrue when there are other things to attend to.

Yup, you cant save everyone. Save yourself first. Selfish? Perhaps. But I'm not going down because of someone else's mistakes, or a bunch of people are making decisions and impressions on behalf of everyone else.

Now you see why I need my Disney fix more. You see Arabs with headscarves, Chinese, Indian, Caucasians, Africans, Europeans....and do you see anyone separating themselves into groups, or avoiding one another? Nope. Because everyone's united by that one love. The real deal, not that fake 1Malaysia bullcrap. And the attitude spills over into outside the Disney environment as well. You bring back home the very virtues you see in Disney and practice it where you live. However, it's made especially hard for those living far away from that Disney environment, because people living in your immediate vicinity always question your motives suspiciously instead of understanding why you do it. It's like you cant do things out of the good nature of your heart anymore, and everything must have hidden agendas. I pity them for thinking that way, life must have been so bitter to them to turn them into such sour-faced, always suspicious bitter people.
Only thing is, these people seems dont want to be saved. They would rather sit and stay in their current state and accept things "as it is" rather than rise up above all these nonsense and do something to save themselves. I mean, I can hold out my hand all I want, but you'll have to reach out and grab it.

Today, is the 1st time I am truly thinking of accepting a long term job assignment in Beijing, at least I leave Malaysia for a country that is moving forward, not backward. I know China have a long way to go, but all the big thing and big investment is happening there. Not here.
