How can you be certain that 'the others' have the same perspectives?
We might have some the same perspective in certain issues, but the usage of stupidity does not limit to that certain issues or common sense.
For example, an experienced guitar player made a mistake in something that ONLY him on the stage really knows about.
He thinks that the mistake is stupid and next time he promises himself not to do the mistake again.
The others, the non guitar players couldn't detect the stupid mistake he made. They think that the guitar player has performed very well.
