Hi, I would like to ask you 2 questions:

a) When I've opened the lock, can I leave the door open (this is what people staying in terrace house usually do by leaving the wood door open and lock the grill gate)? How will the lock response to this?

b) To install the lock, the wood door need to be punched a hole. If I uninstall the lock, what ways could you recommend to patch/fix the hole into its original condition?
