The 6Gv2 "media control keys" are driver driven. There are no dedicated hardware based media control keys on it since it utilize the F1 to F6 keys. I'm certain the Filcos boards can do the same if they decide to implement the same microcontroller and driver in it. Also AFAIK the 7G is indeed based on Filco Majestouch Linear Force NKRO many users of both boards seem to confirm it. SS just expanded the design to features with the audio headphones jacks, wristrest, extended USB ports and media controls.

Possible but it's more likely that SS licensed the design from Filco and no doubt from Cherry. Manufacturing of the board can be leased out to any party.

Well, I have a SteelSeries Siberia Full-size USB Headset here and, honestly, it disappointed me thoroughly. The sound quality produced just couldn't justify its costy price tag.

You cant be serious, it is one of the best gaming headsets for both leisure and competitive gaming, and i think the sound quality of the Siberia Full-size USB Headset surpasses many other brands. Maybe you would like to try to give it another shot at the Siberia V2?

Funny thing, my Krait spoiled after 3 months of light usage...

Anyways, to claim warranty, you need to send it back to the place of purchase and then ask them to send for RMA.

Razer Piranha sounded much better when compared using the same output. The Siberia somehow sounded empty to me.

Duh..
Every1 is selling SS..
>.>
Warranty clearly stated, 1 year and send it back 2 the seller that sold you the product..
Receipt and other transaction details follows..
AS simple as that..

@Silver - I kinda agree with you..
Siberia full size is not very good and for the price tag, i rather go Audio technica..
Sad 2 say but since I'm on megalodon n Audio Technica already, I kinda find the V2 and then new full size with usb is lacking in sum sense..
Personal opinion only..

Never tested the piranha, can vouch for the Carcharias as it somehow outperform the SS full size in my opinion..

well, between siberia v2 and megalodon...i find not much difference.
the main thing with them is u have to tweak their EQs.
u cannot expect to just plug in and have all headsets sound the same, unless of cos they're pure recording / mastering / audiophile / whatever headsets with flat EQ.
so yea, messing with EQ is also another art that u have to learn and not just sticking in a V shape.

The Piranha might sound nicer but it hurts my ears after a while. Reminds me of a 3H.
