guys, RM88 since 2004 is all this while 512kbps?? damn.. i thought its 1MB

I read from this thread that I am capped at 1mbps on the port, so will only get about 0.8mbps speeds.

Can i call them up and ask to cap on a higher cap port side?

So that i can get more value for money.

Check your modem to see what the port speed is. Then do some speed test to see what results you get. If you are getting 1M speeds, then it is possible that the info on that page is incorrect.

Added on December 30, 2009, 11:05 amOnce your upgrade is done, check yur port speed again and do the speed tests again. You never know they may change your port during the upgrade.

Otherwise, yes, you can call 100 and make a report ad make the request. If you are lucky, they may change your port speed for you. Tell them others are getting higher speeds than you. No guarantee, but it is worth a try and you may succeed.

The technician came down yesterday to check if it's able to support 4mb or not, then after that he left and said the line will be activated within 24 hours, though I'm at the office now I can't really check my router speed. Any other way I can check the status?

Hmm.. You need to restart modem to see the speed got update or not.

Try or call 100 and ask.

Furthermore the technician took back the wifi modem when he came to test yesterday. Shall raise this issue up with TM AFTER the upgrade is done

i already sent email to tm... they jus call me... and already make a report for me... and wait for their technical team to decide wat is going wrong ...... we will see about that .........

i just upgrade from Rm 66 (no modemn) to RM 71 (no modemn) package but the dl speed still same as 512 kpbs.
is it everything ok with the modemn page?

If download speed is around 0.8mb/s, it mean you are upgraded

i got this from speedtest, guess it upgraded to 1mpbs. but for some reason certain site have high ping and i lagging real bad when i playing mmorpg.
