Is it worth?
Pros 1. Lighter mobile 2. Better GPU as it having ddr3 and 9500m gs got only ddr2  3. Faster CPU ! 2.1ghz vs 2.4ghz lolss Cons 1. No HD screen 2. No cool design 3. No Cinetouch 4. Hotter GPU , for 6920g 9500m gs getting 57 celcius in idle while 80 celcius maximum on gaming after overclocking. hybrid 9600m gt got 70 celcius or even higher when idle and 100 celcius or more when gaming. not really that hot.. mine idle or browsing web with 9600mGT can maintain at 56 degree..

Well, from S42 user POV...its not that hot, mine here in a non air-con room the idle temp for the GPU is only 58~62C...peaked at 93C...but still a good laptop

@TS depends which driver you using, if you use DOX 185.68 or 185.85 the idle temp in aircon room is 52ish C and peak is 74ish....
downside is those drivers not supported in rivatuner. So cannot OC |
