Hey guys i'm planning to get a wi-fi thingy for my house. The kind where u plug in the internet cable and the whole house can use the internet connection one... Dunno what it's called. Cost bout 100 bucks or so only. What i wanna know is, is it going to hurt my speed?

wel, if only using 1mbps streamyx, should be no difference
but usually cable is faster and more reliable

using cable is 100Mbps, wireless is 54Mbps as max ><

but internet only 1mbps

im using wireless, but my cable is plugged in as well... hahaha..

yeah just the 1mbps Streamyx. My speed is usually around 1.3~1.4 mbps My dad's complaining that he cannot use the internet when i'm using, cuz we only have 1 cable. So the wireless router won't affect my speed by much lor then?

well, you can get those one with wifi+4 port cable.
if wifi is not enough, can revert back to cable~

that wifi thingy is called wireless router or wi-fi router

don't say like that. later HSBB come to your house, your IDE ATA33 hard disk cannot cope with it
