I want to put tiles on my balcony and I want to make sure it is water proof to prevent water leakage to the car porch below.

Normally what the materials I need and how to do it?

Is it we need some chemicals (milk alike) to put on top of the cement? Or need some glue on the tiles?

You need to paint a layer of silicon before laying the tiles.
It will last you a few years.

I got my toilet fix, which cost me RM1k each. Fixed 2.
The water leak to the below unit and the contractor have to cut the tiles up and paint that layer. After which put the tiles back again.

you cant do that now.. it is called water proof solvent... the milky lookalike thing....

it must be mixed with conccrete before casting.. and another option is PE sheet...

and for your case, i would recommend buy a bituminous coating to apply on it....

p/s... don ask contractor as they tend to give cheapest product.. go to hardware shop instead

best is premix conccrete with water proof solvent.. which many many contractor wont care to spend money on.. and it tend to be headache to house owners

Actually 1 of the tiles shop recommend to use this Novabond Cementitious Waterproofing Slurry 613 (http://www.novabond.com/613.html).

It came with a package of powder and mix it with liquid.

Do u think it is good enough?

Another method they told me is to use Arylic.

I plan to hire some banglas or indons to do it as the local contractor labor charge is too expensive (RM4/sqft) but I'm just afraid they dunno how to apply the chemicals onto it.
I ask the shop, they said we need to apply 2-3 layers of this Cementitious mixture 1st, then only put cement, and tiles.

your floor already on with tiles? if not, can consider PR sheet

sorry.. not PR but PE... you go to any hardware shop ask them.. its name is PE sheet or typical name is plastic concrete.. its blue colour sheet... normally put on floor before concrete casting....

In your case, its much easier using bituminous water proofing.

?? how come water can leak through if you already have a porch? is it the original porch that came with the house?

normally water leak after soemtimes....
