Why did I recommend an F20?
- It's cheap.
- It has only 2 function, DIRECT or BOUNCE. and has a toggle for TELE or WIDE. For a beginner it's very quick and direct to let them experiment when to use which setting.
- It's small and compact, when I was decided between a F58 and F20, I went for the F20 because I only have a 18250. My camera is just for family shots and my F36 was preventing me from taking my camera around because I needed to take a bag that can contain both the A350 AND the F36 so it's very inconvinient. After buying the F20 I've taken my camera out much more because I just drop it beside my camera in the Think Tank Digital Holster.
Of course the one thing is to ask yourself what do you shoot usually? For me it's mostly indoors, or during dinners. All I need is something that can bounce off the ceiling. For people who think the Flash is not that strong, remember you can tell the Flash to fire at a higher power through the camera setting.
I appreciate the portability of the F20.

ahtsong&marauderz: thx for the recommendation oso..i tink i will get a prime lens 1st..then a flash..bt wat are the prices for the F58 or F20?
Forget about the Prime lens first, if the only reason you want to get a 50MM is because you've been poisoned by all the Bokeh shots you'll regret it. The first piece of equipment you should get, is a flash. Learn how light can affect your shots before getting a lens that's my advice.
