Albnok: i've just tried RRP & ACR. The JPG output from this 2 converters are like heaven and earth. 1 giving a more neutral color as the ACR are more contrast...
I though in our previous TT we did mention bout having TT in putrajaya mainly on wireless flash? |

QUOTE(albnok @ Dec 3 2009, 02:07 AM) finejava: Tell us what you think of both of them! If you take the neutral one and increase contrast, is it more or less noisy than the ACR version? Albnok: Both the picture are direct conversion without any PP. i'm looking for converter that has result in between those 2.It looks like both IDC and RPP have a different idea of AWB but personally I think both are off; RPP is too cold while IDC is too warm. Oh no that Putrajaya TT was a long time ago with clivengu; pictures here: http://www.glaringnotebook.com/default.asp?id=1085 http://www.glaringnotebook.com/Default.asp?id=1054 ![]() Soony: No, the hood will not fit. Do not bother buying a CPL for an ultra-wide angle lens. You will never be able to tune the CPL evenly across the frame. ieR: I would think otherwise. Film is usually Daylight WB (it is hard to find Tungsten WB film) so it would look like IDC's output. Streetlights on Fujifilm Superia ASA400: ![]() lwliam: Er... then you'd be left out in an advanced wireless TTL class LOL. Not many people have enough flashes to justify such a class I guess. cjlai: Love your ring collection! I have a similiar 49mm to 77mm step setting but skipping some sizes (forgot which ones.) porkchop: Use the Auto HDR mode lah since it is not moving. However if you want your blacks to stay black just turn off DRO and HDR. clivengu: Stylish! Now go change your avatar. Any plan for another wireless TT? |

QUOTE(albnok @ Dec 3 2009, 05:00 PM) finejava: Errr if you're not changing anything, what's the point of shooting RAW? As in you're supposed to change the export parameters. At the very least the WB finetuning is what I would use RAW for. Albnok: What i meant is both the straight conversion itself is already a huge difference between the 2 software. I'm looking for a good converter than can give output somewhere in between those 2. If i choose RPP then all my photos will be like oldies...if IDC then all of them are like orangeylwliam: Leos Trading at Ampang Park has both the original Cokin set and compatible copies. Jeff doesn't think the copy is too sturdy though... |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Dec 4 2009, 11:30 AM) lwliam: cz16-80 can't use any filter, will cause vignetting. I've got pro1d CPL filter, also will cause vignetting. Anyway, for any CZ lens best to use without any filter. Putting a filter in front of the lens will lower down the quality of the pic unless ur using cz filter as well. |

QUOTE(168257061 @ Dec 4 2009, 06:54 PM) bro, i bought UWA & 1680z at the same time la...where got budget for filter at that time...thought those moderate filter can do ma...mana tau...cilakak betul...got vignetting...i thought get the slimmest can do already...but anyway...i dun usually go to dusty place...so...filter is not necessary la...to me UV filter is more to like a lens protector only...i'm quite a careful when handling things...so it's fine for me to leave without a filter CPL filter, i used it like once every 10 times...and 1mm zooming wouldn't hurt the picture... BTW, i've got many other hobbies as well and photography is just 1 of them. Economy these days not so good!!! Need to learn how to make full use of the things we have... RM300 for a filter? ehm...i would rather buy fresh coffee beans...and make a god-shot for you guys for the next TT Added on December 5, 2009, 8:59 am QUOTE(weixuan @ Dec 5 2009, 08:58 AM) i'll try and let u guys know...This post has been edited by finejava: Dec 5 2009, 08:59 AM |

QUOTE(albnok @ Dec 8 2009, 05:12 PM) http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...=S_Sony_Howdini anyone got 85mm? wanna test test a bit...Nigel Barker video tutorials! Some of the tips are real gems if you watch them. finejava: For APS-C, the Carl Zeiss 85mm F1.4 to get a nice midrange. 135mm will be a bit too long on APS-C. Yes, the Zeiss 85mm is FF (of all the Zeiss lenses, only the 16-80mm is APS-C.) |
