Nice shot bro, love the clouds. My suggestion is that perhaps if you could also increase the exposure for the foreground to make some foreground interest. If you don't have a graduated ND filter then shoot two exposures in RAW and then mask them together.

thanks for the suggestion, but i do have a few exposures of this...

i wanted to make the foreground dark so that it doesnt take away the attention from the clouds at the back, while keeping enough light to show that its a boat.

Ah I see, perhaps a little bit more of dodging and burning the clouds to make it look a little more dramatic?

Smaller aperture (big number) for starry flare
Big aperture (small number) for bokeh

u can only choose either one.

Sony 11-18mm f4.5-5.6 F 4.5 and 5.6 what the diffrent with tamrom 10-22mm is F3.5-.5.6 which good? SONY? cos i just order sony

tamron's a 10-24, apart from the obvious focal length difference, then there's the max aperture too. but since u said you've placed an order for the SAL, stay strong with your decision. i'm having the 1118 as well, and it's serving me pretty well... welcome to the UWA gang
