so a good picture should be weird - under exposure and over exposure...

u are working in studio?

a good picture should be pleasing to the eye. doesnt have weird angles and doesnt make the viewer feel uncomfortable.

it has harmony among the elements in the picture.

what he means by reclimatize means let the lens/body to slowly warm up to the ambient temperature before taking it out from its casing. if from cold to warm temp, lens/sensor will fog up and there's no way to clean the internal lens and sensor. this doesnt happen if going from hot to cold...

achew: beautiful hairlight. IMHO the cateye bokeh a bit too strong though, and the patch of white on top right a bit distracting, but main subject really awesome catch

it is oval with sharper ends and usually appears more prominently at the edges of an uncropped image

Nice shot bro, love the clouds. My suggestion is that perhaps if you could also increase the exposure for the foreground to make some foreground interest. If you don't have a graduated ND filter then shoot two exposures in RAW and then mask them together.
*
thanks for the suggestion, but i do have a few exposures of this...

i wanted to make the foreground dark so that it doesnt take away the attention from the clouds at the back, while keeping enough light to show that its a boat.

Sony 11-18mm f4.5-5.6 F 4.5 and 5.6 what the diffrent with tamrom 10-22mm is F3.5-.5.6 which good? SONY? cos i just order sony
*
tamron's a 10-24, apart from the obvious focal length difference, then there's the max aperture too. but since u said you've placed an order for the SAL, stay strong with your decision. i'm having the 1118 as well, and it's serving me pretty well... welcome to the UWA gang

aiyo, bro albnok just proven that sigma f1.4 is much better  tongue.gif

Added on December 25, 2009, 8:59 am

excellent infomation. physically both are 50mm but sigma is much bigger body, bigger body = good quality in most case?

thanks for the sharing. that model is your gf tongue.gif
*
i think you might be rclxub.gif with the price of the sigma and the sony.

with the amount of light gathering capability in that front element, of course its expected to deliver better results. or else why get a glass that is nearly more than double the weight of a normal 50mm (in terms of physical weight and price)?
